Ideally, as soon as devices with NORMAL status appear in the Recorders list, but perhaps once the "Add Recorders Now" has been tried, the next Check User Activity button is displayed.
Ideally, opens the User group with most recent activity. If we can't hook these buttons to the program:
(a) Buttons can pop-up overlay pointing to place to go OR
(b) Buttons can be removed.
To get started
1. Activate Activate your Recon and 360 licenses to begin adding Recorders. Find your product key in your purchase email receipt. To activate later, go to Configurations | Recorder Licenses. 1. You are activated! You can now add Recorders and begin analyzing and monitoring activity. |
2. Add Recorders When you have activated, you can begin adding Recorders to your network devices. A wizard leads you through selecting and installing on devices. |
3. Alert & Monitor The Recorders start capturing data as soon as they are installed. Check your Dashboard displays for data. Recon and 360 alerts can warn you at any time of possible trouble. |
Use the round page arrows above to see how it works | ||
Add Recorders
The Add Recorders wizard automatically begins (if there are none) |
|
As soon as it starts, the wizard begins scanning for unrecorded devices using Active Directory or Network Discovery. Scanning may require special permission on your network. Select at least one device.
|
|
Add Recorders - Prepare
Schedule a time to perform the installation |
|
Because a Recorder installation restarts a device, choose a time when users are not active. Installing requires permission. Enter Windows account credentials for an administrator-user on these devices.
|
|
Add Recorders - License
A license is required for each installed Recorder |
|
Activation is required to see available license types and number of licenses. Check a license type and select Next to continue. |

Set up Alerting
Recon Recon anomaly and behavioral analysis takes up to 30 days to fully calibrate. Keyword and select anomalies begin immediately. Sample alerts based are provided. |
360 Events These alerts are triggered by comparing the "Conditions" you set against event data stored at the server. You can send email, display a popup warning at the user's terminal, and review triggered alerts in the Data Explorer and Dashboard views. |
Alert Operators Alert email requires configured email delivery and an "Alert Operator" email address. Assign an operator (your own email) on the Action panel, otherwise the alert may go unnoticed. |
